2024年全國生態日研討會
全國生態日是一個致力於提升公眾對生態保育和環境保護意識的全國性活動。通過舉辦各種研討會、展覽、工作坊和社區活動,全國生態日旨在鼓勵公眾參與生態保護行動,共同建設一個可持續發展的未來。
2024年全國生態日研討會將於8月15日上午8點50至下午1點在香港大學黃麗鬆講堂舉行,由香港大學城市繫統研究院,城市規劃及設計繫,促進公平與福祉的社會基礎設施實驗室承辦。本次研討會旨在推動生態保育和鄉村振興,並促進公衆對生態環境的關注和了解。
研討會將包括多場主題演講。中國科學院院士、發展中國家科學院院士及第十四屆全國政協常委方精雲教授將探討氣候變化下的中國生態特徵及生態保護。香港大學公民社會與治理研究中心總監、政治與公共行政學系林維峯教授將分享復育荔枝窩的十年經驗。環境及生態局鄉郊保育辦公室總監鄧文彬教授將討論生態保育與鄉村活化的機會與挑戰。香港中文大學客座教授、生物多樣性策略及行動計劃督導委員會前主席林健枝教授將介紹沙羅洞的生態可持續發展。香港中文大學生命科學院研究助理教授、郊野公園及海岸公園委員會委員崔佩怡博士將發表關於珊瑚復育的演講。最後,香港大學城市規劃及設計系系主任、城市系統研究院執行副院長何深靜教授將與專家們一起展開對生態保育的圓桌討論。
活動將彙集多位專家教授,共同探討生態保育的未來。
2024 National Ecology Day Symposium
National Ecology Day is a nationwide event dedicated to raising public awareness about ecological conservation and environmental protection. Through various symposiums, exhibitions, workshops, and community activities, National Ecology Day aims to encourage public participation in ecological conservation efforts, fostering a sustainable future.
The 2024 National Ecology Day Symposium will be held on August 15 from 8:50 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Rayson Huang Theatre, The University of Hong Kong, organized by the Urban Systems Institute (USI), Department of Urban Planning and Design (DUPAD), and Social Infrastructure for Equity and Wellbeing (SIEW) Lab. This symposium aims to promote ecological conservation and rural revitalization, enhancing public awareness and understanding of the ecological environment.
The symposium will feature several keynote speeches. Prof. Jingyun Fang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a member of the World Academy of Sciences, and a member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, will discuss the ecological characteristics and conservation efforts in China under climate change. Prof. Wai-fung Lam, Director of the Centre for Civil Society and Governance and Department of Politics and Public Administration at The University of Hong Kong, will share a decade of experience in revitalizing Lai Chi Wo. Prof. Stephen Tang, Director of the Countryside Conservation Office of the Environment and Ecology Bureau, will explore the opportunities and challenges in ecological conservation and rural revitalization. Prof. Kin Che Lam, a visiting professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and former chairman of the Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan Advisory Committee, will present on the sustainable development of Sha Lo Tung. Dr. Apple Chui, a research assistant professor at the School of Life Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a member of the Country and Marine Parks Board, will deliver a speech on coral restoration. Finally, Prof. Shenjing He, Head of the Department of Urban Planning and Design, Executive deputy director of the Urban Systems Institute, HKU, will lead a roundtable discussion with experts on the future of ecological conservation.
The event will bring together numerous experts and professors to explore the future of ecological conservation.
2024年全國生態日沙羅洞生態調研工作坊
為慶祝全國生態日,香港大學城市系統研究院,城市規劃及設計系,促進公平與福祉的社會基礎設施實驗室特別舉辦沙羅洞生態調研工作坊。沙羅洞是一個罕見的山谷淡水濕地,被譽為香港的蜻蜓天堂及重要的昆蟲棲息地。該區域擁有豐富的生物多樣性,棲息著各種珍稀昆蟲和野生動植物。然而,沙羅洞面臨著持續的環境威脅,極需全面的科學保育框架。本次工作坊旨在提升對沙羅洞及其生態重要性的學術認識,並促進專業領域內的保育討論。
本次工作坊邀請了國內外多位專家學者進行研討,參加者將有機會聆聽來自不同領域的專家分享他們的研究成果和保育經驗。活動將包括介紹沙羅洞的生態特徵,探討其作為昆蟲棲息地的重要性,並進行實地觀察昆蟲及其他野生動植物。同時,本次活動會分享沙羅洞的保育歷史及現狀,並討論如何通過科學研究來促進生態保育。我們希望通過這次活動,促進專業領域內的知識交流,探索創新的保育和復育模式,為保護這片珍貴的自然資源貢獻力量。

2024 National Ecology Day Sha Lo Tung Ecological Research Workshop
In celebration of National Ecology Day, the Urban Systems Institute (USI), Department of Urban Planning and Design (DUPAD), and Social Infrastructure for Equity and Wellbeing (SIEW) Lab at the University of Hong Kong is organizing the Sha Lo Tung Ecological Research Workshop. Sha Lo Tung is a rare valley-based freshwater wetland, known as Hong Kong's dragonfly paradise and an important insect habitat. This area boasts rich biodiversity, hosting various rare insects and wildlife. However, Sha Lo Tung faces ongoing environmental threats and urgently needs a comprehensive scientific conservation framework. This workshop aims to enhance academic understanding of Sha Lo Tung's ecological significance and foster discussions within the professional conservation community.
The workshop will feature discussions led by local and international experts and scholars. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from experts across different fields, sharing their research findings and conservation experiences. The event will include an introduction to the ecological features of Sha Lo Tung, discussing its importance as an insect habitat, and conducting field observations of insects and other wildlife. Additionally, the workshop will cover the conservation history and current status of Sha Lo Tung, and discuss how scientific research can promote ecological conservation. Through this event, we aim to promote knowledge exchange within the professional field, explore innovative conservation and revitalization models, and contribute to the protection of this valuable natural resource.
